RULES
Please note: some changes have been made to the Coyote Hunt Rules and Regulations. 1. No registrations will be taken during the hunt. The hunt will officially begin at 12:01 AM., February 1 and will end at 4:00 PM. February 29, 2024. 2. Registration Fee will be $25.00, of which $20.00 will go toward cash prizes to successful hunters and $5.00 toward administration costs 3. Each participant must be registered for this hunt. When hunting in groups, each member of the group must be registered, or the entire group will be disqualified. 4. Coyotes must be killed during the days and times of the scheduled hunt. 5. Participants must possess a valid hunting license or fur-taker license. Participant's license will be checked when they bring in a coyote to be weighed. 6. During the scheduled Coyote Hunt, coyotes may be hunted in any county in Pennsylvania. 8. Calls and dogs may be used during the hunt, HOWEVER EACH HUNTER WILL BE ALLOWED TO REGISTER ONLY THREE COYOTES. The first three coyotes will be the ones to be counted. EACH HUNTER MUST REGISTER HIS/HER COYOTE(S) KILLED IN PERSON. 9. Any violation of the Pennsylvania Game Laws and rules of this hunt will result in that person or group being disqualified from the hunt and banned from any future contests. 10. Official weighs-ins will be done at Buck Hill Firearms property from 10:00AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Saturday. YOU MUST HAVE IN YOUR POSSESSION AT WEIGH-IN: PHOTO ID, AND PA HUNTING LICENSE OR YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. NO EXCEPTIONS 11. The DEADLINE FOR WEIGH-INS IS 5PM ON THURSDAY FEBRUARY 29, 2023. 12. Each hunter is responsible for the disposal of his/her coyote carcass. Any coyote(s) left on the premises will be subject to a $50.00 disposal fee per coyote. The fee will be deducted from said person's prize money. 13. The Prize Money (excluding registration fees) will be divided AS TOP PRIZE MONEY and awarded for the top three coyotes in weight, to be divided as follows: 1st Prize - 50% of the total Top Prize Money 2nd Prize - 30% of the total Top Prize Money 3rd Prize - 20% of the total Top Prize Money 14. All prize money will be awarded after official results have been determined. Prize money will be awarded by check upon verification of the contestant's entitlement and in exchange for an IRS Form W-9 signed and completed by each award winner. COYOTE REGISTRATIONS WILL ONLY BE ON THE SPECIFIED DATES ABOVE. YOU MAY ALSO REGISTER BY MAIL BEFORE JANUARY 31, 2024. ABSOLUTELY NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE TAKEN AFTER THE BEGINNING OF THE HUNT!
